If you had to pick one imperial province for FFG to develop next, which would it be?
I think I'm leaning towards Wissenland/nuln. I like the idea of it being a hub for other region input.

middanland it my all time fave and im a big fan or ulric
I ran a pretty good 2e campaign in and around Middenheim. There's so much going on there! Plus, being in the center of the empire, it's a good jumping off point.
The more I look at Hochland and Middenland, I'm thinking a minicampaign at the middle mountains would be cool.
Middenland Seconded!
Nuln/Wissenland for me! Nuln seems to be such an important city historically, but not much seems to have been done with it. And Ulric is all very well, but a southern province gives us the opportunity to really explore societies shaped by the other branch of Gods: Verena, Shallya, Ranald, Myrmidia, etc. We'd also likely get more interaction with the nations to the south of the Empire (well, Tilea) and the Border Princes. Not a lot, but we'd have a lot of different cultural influences. Wheras the northern states have more of a rough and read 'frontier' feel to them, the southern provinces seem more (outwardly) 'civilised' and much longer-established. More cultured, more historied, richer and more developed.

Exactly, but since I already have Ashes of Middenheim and City of Chaos, I'd vote for Talabecland.
Another vote for Talabecland. For history and background reading would be greatly appreciated.

Talabecland was heavily detailed in Warpstone and in Terror of Talabheim I believe.
jh
Nuln (Wissenland), Middenheim (Middenland), Marienburg (Wasteland) and Talabheim (Talabecland) have all been covered in various amounts of detail in previous editions.
My vote would be for Averheim (Averland) to be done. It borders Sylvania and Black Fire Pass, while Averheim is smaller, so can be detailed in much greater detail than the other cities. Likewise it has the most interesting political situation in all the provinces, as it has no Elector Count with no solution to this problem in sight. Read the Swords of Justice and Vengence books from the Black Library to get an idea about how great a roleplaying situation this could be. You could also have an Ork Waagh coming from Black Fire Pass, with Grenzstadt being another interesting town to be detailed, with its links to the Border Princes.
The other option would be Stirland and Sylvania but that wouldn't have the wonderful political element of Averland.
Ostland is my favorite province, but I think middenland has more to offer.
I would pick "Big Cities of the Empire" with Nuln, Altdorf, Marienburg and Middenheim detailed in them. With maps, professions for the specified locations.
For the region, it would be Sylvania for me. There are a lot of intel on Empire and provinces, but no really good, detailed on Sylvania (not that I seen), that is a fantastic setting for adventures.
Hi
I would choose Ostermark of three reasons.
1) its history, which deals basically with the ruins of Mordheim (major site)
2) The Griffon Empire. If my memory of warhammer lore, Ostermark dreamed of their own empire, and if they where the first to unit the tribes of the Empire, it would be called Griffon Empire instead of just the Empire.
3) mixed heritage, the diversity of the ostermarker could introduce us to the ungol and kislevite characters, including them as playable races. For me Ostermark is a very untypical province of the Empire, its part Hungary part Czeckia. Great way to present a more unusual empire .
Rikard
Stirland (It is poorly described and it borders Sylvannia)
or
Averland (ragnar63 has a point)
I don't think there is enough of Ostermark, there's plenty on the the provinces but why do the Polish province get no love I say.
