To sleeve or not to sleeve

By SolennelBern, in Runewars

Hi all, been wondering yesterday, while I was reading the rules to refresh my memory on some things, if I should sleeve my cards...

They're of great quality and superb and i'd like to keep them in this state for as long as I own this amazing game. I started sleeving the big cards since I had some #2 FFG sleeves to spare and wondered if it was a good idea, since sleeved cards tend to be more...slippery?!?

Did you sleeve yours?

I sleeved mine, though for all but the Fate cards I used thinner sleeves than what FFG sells. (I used the thicker cards for the Fate deck since they get shuffled FAR more than any of the other decks). I think it's worth it.

Which brand is it?

Mayday. I know some people have said they've had quality issues, but I've never had a problem.

Thanks a bunch.

I ended up buying the FFG ones, I like uniformity :P

There's nothing wrong with FFGs, they just cost more :)

Hi
Considering the game price, I think that sleeve is a good option. I use Mayday (orange and red) but i'd like to know if FFG sleeve are unglossy ? Mayday sleeve are glossy.
Thanks

I have a few FFG sleeves; they don't strike me as being any less "glossy".

Well i'm glad I sleeved the cards, even though they are of great quality.

And FFG sleeves are not that glossy and fits perfectly. A little slippery though but after a few plays they're perfect.

Hi. I am thinking of sleeving my game. Are the thicker sleeves too hard to stack as with the Fate cards? Are the thinner sleeves too bendy and get caught up in shuffling and stacking?

Thanks

I use "thin" sleeves for everything except the Heroes and the Fate cards. The Fate cards get shuffled so much that the thicker sleeves makes it much easier, and I use a bunch of custom heroes so the thicker sleeves helps make them less distinguishable.
