ToI minis.....all painted!

By bulldoguk, in Tide of Iron

Well, initially I had no intention what so ever to paint these as a) the mechanics of the game mean that constant handling is probably gonna knacker 'em sharpish and b) they are the sort of minis that get thrown in a zip bag at the and of the night. Common sense thrown to one side my dominant character took over (when did I ever listen to myself anyhow) and simply decided they must be painted because they are there!

Strictly non historical, nice fast techniques, everything on the link below painted in just short of a weeks worth of evenings sat in front of the TV

They do add a little extra fun to the game however and I really did enjoy painting them! surprisingley detailed for mass produced plastics too!

Great game btw!

ps. just finishing contents of Normandy expansion, should update tomorrow gui%C3%B1o.gif

What a beautiful job! Thanks for sharing!

Nice Work! aplauso.gif

Please tell me what colours you used for the Shermans. Its exactly the colour I wanted, but I've done 4 different colours on mine now and still not happy with them :(

Hi Paul, I tried a couple of colours myself before I was happy with this, even the Tamiya Olive drab didnt seem right at this scale (even though all the large stuff is painted with it!)
Base colour is Olive Green (miniature paints) followed by a wash of green + black ink. A quick drybrush over with the olive green once dry then just a matter of lining and painting the details in

Hope this helps a little, got to say I really enjoyed painting these little guys, certainly a change from a 6 foot Titan!!!

Anyhow, finally finished the contents of Normandy, Stug III, Jagdpanzers, Panthers, M10's and King Tigers in all there miniature glory!
