Can anyone tell me what happens if one of your starting talents has a prerequisite that you don't meet?

For example i have a Heretek that gets the Die Had talent but he doesn't have the 40 willpower needed for the prerequisite.

I would have thought you'd get it anyway but just want to check if it's something i've missed

I've ran into this issue with my group, but have simply ruled that you can get starting package talents regardless of prerequisites.

Yeah thats what i was thinking of doing.
