I'm, as a new player, curious about how much elder sign(unqiue item) appears in your games.

As for me, we played about 10 games by now and encountered elder sign only once. So my elder sign ratio is 1:10. What's yours?

Some people here played over 100 games, I beleive.

And yes, please, don't count Wendy games.

We get one or more elder signs about every other game we play. However, I almost always play with at least 8 people, so I think that ups the odds, since we've got more people drawing unique items.

It's 3-6 for me.

It heavily depends on how many characters you play with and what your strategy is. I generally play with five or six characters, and generally spend the first two turns with at least one investigator shopping at the Curiosity shoppe. They appear not that often, but not too rarely, 1 on 10 is a little low as a chance. I never logged in my games the ES found / used, anyway, so I cannot give you a real statistics, sorry

It depends a lot on strategy and luck. In two recent no-expansion and dark pharaoh games, three signs were found. In a recent KiY game, none were found.

Don't know about overall numbers, but probably average 1 ES per game, perhaps slightly less. Any game with 2 or more ES in it tends to get classified under too easy.

i actually DO log the uses of elder signs in my games. all non-league/non-scenario games are logged, and for using elder signs in my last 46 games (only have 46 games logged, sorry), i have:

on average 0.5 elder signs used/game. Wendy participated in 11 of those games, but to be fair - we don't always use the elder sign she has with her, sometimes losing before having time to use it, and sometimes winning without getting use of it.

we never camp/stay long in the shops to shop for it, and we rarely win by just sealing (a lot more wins by final combat and closing victories).. so the amount we get is pretty much the random occurrence in a game, not inflated by camping the shoppe or similar.

(we use dh+kh+cotdp (old)+kiy in different combinations.)
