Tourney for the Hand cards spoiled on the French publisher's site

Two cards we already knew, but Dorea Sand is new. My knowledge of French is limited, but I gather her ability is:

"After you lose a challenge as the defender, all Sand Snake characters you control gain 'does not kneel to attack' until the end of the phase."

That's an accurate translation. I love the art, and I've had a fun Sand Snake deck she'll make her way in to.

Somehow I missed "The Knight" spoiler entirely, so this one's new to me. Joust on Greyjoy makes for some easy unopposed wins with Scouting Vessel...

Ah, I think The Knight hadn't actually been officially spoiled, but agotcards.org had the card spoiled several weeks ago.

The translation, for those who haven't seen The Knight yet, is something like: "After you win an unopposed challenge, stand The Knight. Then, discard the top card of each opponent’s deck."

The knight is Veteran Looters of the LCG. Nice. More powerful for sure, but being unique balances it out.

I know right now sand snakes are weak but thats a dangerous card to have 4 or more characters with tricons deadly and stealth be non kneeling

Aye. Could also be fun in a melee game, using Crown Regent to redirect a challenge against yourself and lose on purpose. Now if only we had a Sand Snake that gave all your Sand Snakes characters Renown...

~What about a Sand Snake that gave all of your Sand Snakes in play the Ambush keyword?

Saturnine, you're psychic. The new event gives sandsnakes renown...

Well to unique ones ;) this might actually make the sandsnakes somewhat viable.

ok so if thats the case A Sand Snake deck becomes kinda interesting, with Obella, Dora, Nymeria, and Tyene out from No Use for Greif a Sand Snake Rush deck becomes an outside possibility

Summoning season for viper, get him killed!

Haha, yeah, I just saw it over at agotcards. gran_risa.gif

Reminds me when I was playing against a deck like that and used power of blood plot 2 times so that the viper couldn't die :D

I'm liking how they seem to be adding cards to shore up weaknesses in some of the sub-themes. The Sand Snake cards are very nice--it probably won't make a Sand Snake deck super competitive, but it will make them perform better. The pack's also got a Night's Watch card, and something for House Dayne (though I think the PotS Darkstar will be seeing far more play). Later packs will have a couple new Brotherhood cards. Here's hoping a new Bolton card or two shows up, or some more Asshai.

True dat.

Great to see them fleshing out themes and adding depth to existing gimmicks. All we need now is 'moar shadowze'.

Also, I like how they're preparing the ground for the deluxe House Tyrell expansion that they're going to release in the new year. Which is totally a real thing and not just something that I keep saying because I hope that doing so will make it true.

Finally, I feel like the unassuming little Wildling Hedge Knight deserves some more love.

While he isn't not about to break any metas, he's only the second non-unique Wildling 1 drop to see print (the first was the CCG Wildling Elder promo); and with the support of the old The North agendas (which are still swimming around out there in the meta, if somebody chooses to use them) he's a completely bargainous dude. After all; 2 Str stealth bicon for 1 = plain old good. At the very worst, he's a pleasant shot in the arm for your cosy old casual wildling builds.

Sure he gets zapped by Disenssion... but if your opponent is wasting Dissensions on your 1 drops, you perhaps don't have anything more serious to worry about.

Did I miss this? Where was this event spoiled?

EDIT: Nevermind; Alpha already got this.

New Event + new Sand snake = 18 power in one round after snake bomb if opponent gives you chance ;)

Hell Yes, i'm so happy to see some of the more imcomplete sub themes get love, Nights Watch especially. I would also love to see a few more Seasons cards especially Stark Winter

Personally, I love the Free Man. Now we just need some more unique wildlings, like Ygritte and the King of Bones. Nothing busted like Val, but just some more flavor for the deck. :-)

You could probably just reprint the Winter Edition versions of both of those (heck, power down Longspear Rik and he'd work too), though I really don't want to give Trait Manip any more power

I like how it appears that the former World Champions's CCG's cards are getting and LCG modified pint in the Tales of CHAMPIONS cycle. We saw Matt Ley's (2006) Ghost of High Heart spoiled and Casey Galvan's Bandit Lord (2003) were altered and are now LCG cards, could the 2004 and 2005 World Champions's cards be far behind? hmmmmm???? gui%C3%B1o.gif

And what are 2004 and 2005 champions cards ?
