Within a few days, I should have my King's Landing packs, and I am very much looking forward to finally having more than a handful of Shadows cards to work with. I had some questions though. I'm sure I'll be splashing some Shadows into a lot of decks, but I also know I'll be building at least one Shadows focused deck.
One of the major questions I have is how the different houses play with Shadows. Based on what I've seen online, Lannister, Stark, and Baratheon seem to be the most popular to run Shadows out of. Particularly as I'll likely be trying out the City of Shadows agenda; does that agenda lead to fairly homogenous decks across houses, or do they still retain their flavor? And is that flavor just from the non-Shadows cards being used?
Also, on the subject of a Stark Shadows deck, looking over the cards they have and the decks I've seen, it looks like Winter plays a pretty large role. I unfortunately have not yet picked up any of the Seasons packs. Without those, should I probably look to other houses to run Shadows out of? I'll also be getting Lords of Winter, would it work to run Shadows with just the Crown of Winter, or would that not work well?
Sorry for all the fairly newbie questions, I just haven't had much chance to play much with Shadows yet, and it just feels like it's adding a very big new element to my card pool. I'm excited, but also a bit lost.
