So, is this the ktom appreciation thread then? In that case, ktom, thank you very much for putting up with our collective thick-wittedness and outright stupidity on a daily basis. I don't know what this community and this game would be like without you, and I don't care to imagine. And to think that you've been the spiritus rector of this rules board and the ones before it for years. Please keep up the good work and never ever get tired of explaining what happens if I use Orphan of the Greenblood on a character with an attached Court Advisor.

~Oh, and while I'm at it, Ive noticed there's some cards that talk about it being "summer" or "winter". WTF's up with that? Where can I find the rules for the seasons!? There's nuthin' in the rule book FFS!1!

Dude, really, I like getting laid as much as the next guy, but if I have the choice between nailing a hot broad and playing Thrones with her, I'd pick Thrones any day of the week. You can bet your ass my wife knows this. She's not as relieved by the fact as you might think, though.

Then there's also the fact that women who want to play Thrones with me are even harder to find than ones who'd hit the sack with me.

Just because someone is intimately familiar with the rules of a game does not automatically make them a great player. I like to think I have a pretty firm grasp on the rules, and I play like ****. (I'm not meaning to imply ktom plays like me -- I'm sure he's a very capable player).

However, also being one of the lucky ones who gets to play AGoT with Grand Maester Ktom (when he graces us with his presence ) and knowing he's too modest to admit it himself, I can attest to the fact that he is not only a rules maestro and very good player, but moreover just a lot of fun to hang out with. I'm particularly impressed with the way he finds fun and unexpected synergy in his decks, which makes sense if you think about how well he knows the cards.

For sure. I only actually got to play with you once ktom but your brotherhood deck was pretty impressive. For the record he was equally helpful after the game and took a peek at some of my decks and gave me some pointers. I know the rules forum probably wasn't the best place for this post but wanted to say thanks for all of your help and wanted to be sure you saw it and others had a chance to do so as well.

I just don't see how he even finds the time to answer all of the questions. I mean, my job is so uneventful that I just sit and read the forums all day, but look at his profile...

That's just in the rules section! I think he's actually two or more people, even after playing him at Regionals and seeing him TO at Gen Con, there must have been another ktom answering rules questions on the forums that weekend.
