Basic horse rules?

By Neonchameleon, in WFRP Rules Questions

The WHFRP boxed set has rules for riding and lances but so far as I can tell no rules at all for horses including cost. One of my players wants to play a Brettonian Knight Errant (and drew the mercenary card - he just gets paid in glory). I'm thinking 3gp for the horse, can't use the lance on someone he started the turn engaged with (to represent them being charging weapons) - but the things are one handed. And for the horse, may spend one fatigue to move two rather than one range band, Does this sound reasonable?

I'm expecting great things and no survival from this party. Brash Young Fools, a Knight Errant, and a Troll Slayer. Keeps life fun.

Edit: I've just seen Fast as a creature ability in the forums. "one less maneuver to move between Medium and Long or between Long and Extreme" Which works equally well. And in which supplement are the actual cavalry rules?

Omens of War is what you are looking for, I think...

Correct. Omens of War has the horse rules.

I think your house rules otherwise are very good.

The OoW rules are fine, but I think I'd rather just give a horse a wound threshold of 12 and...

Thank you all. Glad I seem to be on the right track.
