What about the other Warp storms?

By LETE, in Black Crusade

Hiyas!

Now that we know there's life in the Screaming Vortex, I wonder if all the other Warp anomalies/storms/stuff from the other line's books could possibly be inhabited too? The sourcebooks for BC could ostensibly contain more places like these to explore/plunder... the possibilities are vast!

I'm also wondering if it's possible to navigate directly from one warp storm to another. Are there perhaps fast currents that facilitate this for those with demonic navigation?

I would think either of those could be possible. Granted, you take some GM liberties doing so, but still. If you really wanted to you could have some kind of stable-enough link to the Hadex Anomaly and just use every 40kRPG sourcebook. I know it says that they sneak through the Warp Gate at times, but you could certainly make a change. Maybe the warp-tunnel/tide/hole/whatever barely fits a raider-class ship, making it too small to be useful beyond smaller ships. You would literally have access to all three sectors and a wealth of resource when it came to setting.

The novel Blood Reaver does a great job of describing part of the Maelstrom, including a space port that lives within it (Hell's Iris). That would be a good read for somebody who wants to set the game elsewhere. Then again, its a good read for anybody as its a killer book overall. :)

There already is, sort of. The Gates of Passage is moon that appears to exist in multiple times and places simultaneously, and allows people to literally step from one location to another. It's noted as existing within (at the very least, as nobody knows all the times and places it can reach) the Screaming Vortex and the Hadex Anomaly.
