Check out the link to the support page ... I don't know if there are still any of the reserved rooms left, but as Jeremiah says, there are several close options, including two (Super 8 and Motel 6) over by Joe Senser's (the post-tourney celebratory).
Also check out this google map where I searched for motels. Check out A-D in particular.

no GRRM, swag is not as cool, no new house cards, and the drawing isn't for Longclaw or Needle its for the board game. . .. i dunno seems like they downgraded the event a little bit
I finally registered; apparently just in time to proclaim my House allegiance (to someone other than the late Lord Frey.)
I'll be heading up from Chicagoland super early on Saturday morning and hopefully hit the event center by 11-ish; heading back early-ish Sunday morning.
Along those lines, if anyone from my area needs a ride to/from, let me know. The company on a long road trip is always appreciated. Also, if anyone has crash space in their hotel for Saturday night, I'm willing to pay my share. Also, I smell slightly better than you might expect, something like a mixture of mountain air and wood polish.

According to the website there ARE new House cards (looks like they have a variety of character art, maybe?), and the overall winner gets Needle. Still, I wonder how much draw GRRM was.

I think he was mostly a draw for non-gamers who showed up for the readings and signings. I'll be interested in seeing what the tourney attendance comparison is... but last year we had two fly in from DC (Steve & Erick) and this year we have two that I know of (WolfgangSenff and Hoya Lawya) so we've still got people willing to travel...
If someone else from SoCal was going I'd be in for sure
