Need help with themes

By Huey182, in 4. AGoT Deck Construction

I am new to this game and recently tried to get friends involved. They each have a unique take on what they want their deck to be like and I was just needing advice on what houses work and what cards are necessary.

Deck 1

Sliver like deck. From Magic the Gathering. This particular friend enjoys the cards giving bonuses to same like cards. So what house would best suit this theme style?

Deck 2

My friend wondered what it would be like to make a dominace winning based deck. The idea revolves around winning dominance to win the game. Is it possible to make one that can actually win? If so what cards and what other strategy would have to be implemented inorder to achieve victory?

Thanks

This would be an extremely difficult way to win the game since under most circumstances you can only claim 1 power for winning dominance. It would take many Rounds and would have to be a really heavily control oriented deck... if he/she wants to win without making challenges, I would suggest a Tully deck or playing Martell for all of their "losing to win" cards (Taste for Blood, etc). The only way to win through mostly Dominance would be some sort of plot repeating deck that combos Minstrel's Muse and Den of the Wolf or something...

1) There's quite a few different "themes" you can run to give pluses to your characters. In my own recollection/opinion I'd say Greyjoy Raider cards have the best. There's a few characters that give pluses to their Strengths, locations and attachments that give stealth or intimidate to get around opponent's pesky high strength characters.

2) You could try to run a Baratheon Deck with The Iron Throne (Defends of the North) & Storm's End (Kings of the Storm) to always win dominance and claim 2 power each time as long as you have two different Baratheon characters in play. And from those just add in a bunch of Renown characters to constantly rack up more power.
