Here is the debate - Does the OL get to see and pick what they want to destroy out of the 3 extra carried items or should it be random? Players of course say the OL does not know what is in who's pack so it should be random. OL says I get to see everything in everyone's pack before I decide.

We have been playing OL gets to see everything and then choose. With the Final Campaign battle about to start, just looking for clarification.

The Overlord does get to choose which item will be destroyed as there is a cost to play the card, depending on the level of the item.

In addition, the heroes do not keep their backpack items hidden from the Overlord, everything on the heroes side is public except feat cards.

One more thing, crushing blow is not limited to items only in a heroes backpack. Crushing blow can kill any item the hero is carrying, regardless if its equipped or in the pack.
