Monsters in the Sky

By gritbaby, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

I need a bit of clarification on monsters that are in the Sky area. I understand that the Sky connects to all streets and monsters will attack anyone that is in a street. Does that mean anyone that ends their turn in a street? Or as soon as your character moves into the street, if there are monsters in the sky, do you need to evade or fight the monsters?

I guess simply put how do you resolve issues with the monsters in the Sky?

Monsters in the sky move when their symbol comes up. They also move when you draw a gate burst, regardless of symbol.

When mnsters in the sky move, they move onto a street area that has an Investigator who has the lowest Sneak values of all the Investgators in the street (if any). If no Investigators are in the street, they stay in the sky.

During subsequent movement, Investigators can evade or fight as normal.

Monsters in the sky are in a separate location that is connected to all street locations. They will not leave the sky unless both conditions are met:

  • Their symbol comes up to move them during the Mythos Phase
  • An investigator is in the street at that time.

If one or the other is not met, they stay put in the sky.

Just to make that clear, no and no. As long as they are in the sky you don't have to deal with them.
