Cybernetics/Implants and Space Marines

Can CSM get any of the implants/cybernetics listed like any normal human? Looking to see if Black Blood would even work on a CSM.

Thanks.

Far as I know, there's no rule preventing it. Furthermore, fluff has plenty of examples of space marines getting implants, including the Iron Hands, who go at it with the same kind of fanatical flesh-hating you usually see from Tech-priests.

As for Black Blood, it's merely nanomachine injections, not a full-sale blood-replacement, so there's no real biological issue there, despite the Space Marines vastly inhuman biology. Damage is damage and as far as the nanomachines are concerned, it's just flesh in need of healing.

Ahh cool so Black Blood is not a full cybernetic enhancement? So basically any character can get it easily if they make their infamy check and the area has it available without any real implant time required?

It's in the cybernetics section of the inventory, so I think all rules apply. For an in-game justification, perhaps there's some kind of control chip that needs to be implanted along with the nanobot injection, or perhaps the nanobots have to be fine-tuned to your particular organism before letting them loose in your bloodstream. Or both. Or more technical considerations with which I can't be bothered to come up.

If you want to get technical, pehaps Black Blood requires the implantation of a series of nanohives that supports and replaces lost nanomachines when they become depleted and prevents them from clogging up in your kidneys and/or liver.
