Viper's Bannermen and Seductive Promise

Is there anything preventing an opponent from revealing and putting cards in their hand after taking control of Viper's Bannermen with Seductive Promise?

You mean to ask if your opponent can trigger the response of Viper's Bannermen when it leaves play under their control? They can.

Thanks Saturnine. Am I wrong to assume that if I then play Narrow Escape it would return to play under my control again, allowing me to trigger its ability again?

Again again again. Lol. Forgive my afwul typing.

Cards always come into play under their owner's control (unless a card specifically says otherwise). There is no memory of Viper's Bannerman being under somebody else's control.

So it's not just that cards "always" come in to play under their owner's control (which is not strictly true, btw - consider the Honor Guards or Ten Towers); when cards leave play, they always return to their owner and are placed in the owner's corresponding out-of-play area.

That's why I added "unless a card specifically says otherwise" :)

But yes, your explanation is obviously the more accurate one, but some reason my mind didn't get there.
