Ok so I realize that Clansmen work better when you have less cards in your hand than opponents. With KotHH I will be at a disadvantage right off the bat because when I first marshall I wont get the setup redraw to 7. I wanted to build a deck that would manipulate income hence the 2 plot cards that attack that. Knowing Lannister has alot of draw cards I figured Gold Tooth Vaults would be a good way to make income while discarding to keep my hand size in check. Since KotHH doesnt allow income locations I needed to find another way to supplement it, thats where Tywin Lannister comes in. Heralds come in play to make sure I get Tywin into play. I realized as I wrote this up I needed at least one power struggle Plot to take advantage of Starve for your King! (missed that detail while building). Im going to have to feast on Unopposed Challenges to get power, so I put in several cards like Toll Gate, Ser Lancel, Brothel, Devious Intentions, Tribeless Vagabond, Chella, Tyrion Lannister to help with that. More than Likely I will run Feast or Famine as my first plot card to give me 8 income in the first round, depending on my initial draw, to make up for the lack of setup.

On the drawing board, this deck is very dependant on several key cards, and I hope with the draw effects I can get to them on a regular basis.

Please give me your thoughts on this Deck Idea. Also any Ideas on a good Power Struggle Plot to insert into this deck? May remove Hear Me Roar for one. Or I may Remove Starve for your King! for another card.

Thanks!

Okay, so my thoughts might not be as helpful because I'm not really trying to help you with your idea, I'm just imposing my own ideas. They're a bit jumbled, because I'm in a bit of a hurry, so sorry for that in advance.

Denying your opponent income seems like a good idea, but I think you're sacrificing too much in the long run to just keep your opponent at bay for 2 rounds. So I probably wouldn't run the agenda and put in a bunch of the Lannister income weenies. I'd get rid of the neutrals, they're not really adding anything useful to your theme.

Your deck seems to run too many too diverse cards. I'm guessing you have a limited card pool? It'd be good to know what you have available.

Trying to find a plot with a specific trait for a card that you run 1 copy of? Just throw out Starve for your King and put in plots you can actually use.

Timmett needs to have 3 copies. And no Shagga? I'd run at least 2 copies of him. Also 3x Burned Men and all the Clansmen attachments and events. Throw out the events and attachment you currently run, save for You've Killed The Wrong Dwarf (got any more copies of that?) and perhaps one or two copies of a Lannister Pays His Debts for the targeted kill, if you got free slots.

Arys is a great card and I would probably find a slot for him. I think you can get rid of 1 copy of Joffrey (and the second copy too, if there's not enough room in your deck). Heralds can probably go as well. I'd switch Building Season for Summoning Season, probably, for a sure way to search for Timmett if needed.

If you want a twist, you could try and capitalize on the miliary strength of the Clansmen by running Epic Battles and get additional military challenges in a round. With Shagga out, you can easily defend, and with Rise of the Mountain Clans, you can attack even with a knelt out board.

Golden Tooth Mines should probably go in 3x. I'd take out Bay of Ice and the Wheelhouse.

Golden Tooth Vaults has great synergy with Clansmen. Works well with Greedy Councilor.

As for plots, I like Relentless Persecution. Retaliation is a great plot in many decks, and works nicely here as well. I would also run Valar Morghulis. With Timmett out and several way to kneel your character before revealing plots, you should easily come out ahead. Of course you're pretty much telling your opponent that you're about to Valar, but really, most of the time your opponent can guess when you want to play it anyhow. Or you can use Bungled Orders and switch to Valar in the challenges phase after kneeling your Clansmen for attack or defense.

Sorry again for the disorganized thoughts, hope you could something out of it.

Most definately. I appreciate your input. I think my card pool is limited (Thought I was getting a pretty good pool going too... lol) because alot of the cards you mentioned I havent noticed. heres a list of what I currently have at my disposal.

Yeah. I don't regret getting 3 copies of the core set. And I still have to use proxies for some of the cards, particularly the plots :)

Relentless Persecution and Shagga Son of Dolf are in the Dreadfort Betrayal chapter pack, which you'll be getting soon, so that's two great cards for a Clansmen deck coming your way.

Anyhow, your collection seems to be very sizeable, so you should find most the cards I suggested, I think. Anyhow, there's certainly enough cards there to smooth out the deck some and make it more unified in its purpose. I'm looking through my deck now; it's a bit older and there's some things I would probably change now. It was a bit slow with the power, so it has copies of Make an Example, Milk of the Poppy to deal with annoying characters and out-of-House Maester Cressen to deal with Milk and other annoying condition attachments thrown at me (which was great before the errata to At The Gates... shows you I haven't updated my deck in a while). There's probably a better way to deal with the attachment situation. Anyhow, these control and toolbox things are tricks that the Clansmen are missing, so most of my non-clansmen slots get filled up with tool-boxy cards like this.

I'm very excited for the Lannister expansion coming out later this year, though. I wonder if it has anything in store for Clansmen besides the two great characters that have already been spoiled.
