Help me survive Arkham Nights

Hello!

I will be attending Arkham Nights later this week. I have never played the CoC LCG before, but a I bought the core set and a few asylum packs, and put together the two decks below. I am looking for some feedback from some more experienced players to see if I'm on the right track.

The sets I bought:

  • Core set
  • Kingsport Dreams
  • Conspiracies of Chaos
  • The Shifting Sands
  • Curse of the Jade Emperor

My first deck, Mistakonic U/Yog Sothoth. This deck focuses on arcane struggles, with arcane-heavy characters and black market artifacts assuring victory. This works well with Sam Campbell, which converts terror struggles to arcane, and Key-seeker, which helps me recover discarded cards. It is not as strong in the other types of struggles, which Blood Magician can help make up for, or Dreams in Limbo and Hound of Dragons, which can slow down my opponent. With the large number of cultist characters in the Yog Sothoth faction, I included Tulzscha. Along with some recursion, it can remove several low-skill characters.

My second deck, Agency/Syndicate/Cthulhu. I don't know how viable a three-faction deck is, but I wanted to build a deck around Khopesh of the Abyss, and wounding characters in general. I have several characters with toughness and Dutch Courage to help keep the khopesh bearer alive. Additionally, cards such as John & Jesse Burke, Mr. Grey, and Military Advisor have some synergy with the khopesh. Unfotunately, I don't have much control in terror struggles, so I included Arkham Asylum, Inside Information, and the Terrible Old Man, as well as Seventh House on the Left to control invulnerable characters.

Well, i don't have my cards with me at the moment so can't say much about the decks, but, if you are going with a Cultist theme, i once built a deck that had hordes of cheap cultists (Disciple Of Gate, Son Of Yeb, Arcane Initiate and the 0 cost one) with support from spells. Easy theme to use with only limited cardpool, as many of the good "Basic Cultists" can be found in Base Set. Never paid much attention to Arcane struggle so don't know how effective of a theme it is, but i recommend you look into the cultists i mentioned as they seemed to be quite useful.
