I don't understand why there is a range attached to this power. I just thought when I activate this power that it just stops the incoming bullets but does it function as a bubble around me and I can stop bullets that are being shot within this bubble? That is the only way I could think of using the range in this power otherwise, because I just thought that attacks targeted against me I can stop.

I think it's more like a 'wall' (like Neo made in matrix reloaded). That way you can catch not only bullets aimed at you, but also at somebody who's near you.
