Take Control - Do you move the card

By Mooch68, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Hi all,

Newbie player here, but couldn't find any answer on the forums.

When you take control of someone elses card, do you move it to your play area? Or just leave it where it is and hope you remember you control it.

Also when you place an attachment on someone else's character, I guess you just slide it under their character card on their side. Just curious on that as I could see my attachment card ending up in their collection accidently.

Yes, that's how it's done. And yes, sometimes you cards get mixed up in somebody else's deck at the end of the game. Using differently colored card sleeves helps immensely. Aside from that, just try and remember that there's cards in your opponent's play area.

As for taking control of cards, there's not really a rule, but in our group we always move cards that we take control of; it's just easier to be able to see who controls what than having to remember it all the time. And with attachments, you just have to remember, but it's usually easier, because the positive attachments on your cards are usually yours, and the negative attachments were usually played by your opponent ;)

Ah great, thanks for the quick answer.
