I'm thinking about playing an Impereal Psyer with the Imperial Diviner atlernate career.

What Level of Psy Rating can I purchase via the Imperial Diviner? A friend of me says Psy Rating 3 but I think it doesn't fit with the core rulebook.

You get or can get the following Psy Ratings in the original career path

Rank 1: Sanctionite = Psy Rating 1

Rank 2: Neonate = Psy Rating 2

Rank 3: Aspirant = None

Rank 4b: Scholar Marterium = Psy Rating 3

Rank 5b: Scholar Medicae = Psy Rating 4

Rank 6b: Scholar Arcanum = None

Rank 7b: Scholar Obscurus = Psy Rating 5

....

But if I substitute Rank 5b with the Imperial Diviner I dont have the opportunity to purchase the Psy Rating 4 Talent (What is required for level 4).

I didn't find an errata or faq...

Your freind is correct. The answer to your psy rating 4 problem can be found in Radicals Handbook, pg 41 under the heading "Elite Advances from Missed Career Ranks".
