Hi, I got a copy of the original Dust Tactics (non-revised) set and while I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sculpts, I found many soldiers can twist their torso. That is, the upper part of the body can swivel around (and sometimes their heads, too). Is this normal? I'm concerned they might come loose. Is there an expedient way (or need) to glue them down and fill the gap between torso and waist? Thanks!
My miniature soldiers can twist their torso, is this normal?
Yes, any of the Armour 2 soldiers can twist. I've never had them come apart in the almost-year that I've owned the game. It's great for painting actually, since it makes it easier to get at hard to reach places to paint. It also makes it so you can choose from a variety of poses for each unit.
If you want to glue it, a little bit of super glue in-between the 2 pieces will easily do the trick.
It's normal, you can also mix and match halves for a bit of customising, you can also swop heads, just like Timpo cowboys from 40 years ago
You don't need any filler, pull them apart and cut the knob off the pin and super-glue the two halves back together.
Cool thanks for the fast response. Yeah they did remind me of the little green plastic men from childhood
!
It also comes in handy when they want to dance.
I find once I paint and seal them, they no longer twist.
The Armor 3 heads pop off too, and some of them, once made to fit, look good on the Armor 2 troops.
no no, dont listen to them! There is a serious flaw with your miniatures, you should sell them to me cheap.
try a couple drops of plastic glue to seal em toghether.
What is odd is that the Zombies don't twist. Being as how they are the only ones who could survive being twisted 180 degrees, I'd call that a flaw.

No, it just means they are a bunch of stiffs.
