My copy of the Dragon Expansion arrived and last weekend I got a chance to play it - three 2 player games testing out the new characters, cards, rules and whatnot - with all of the other

And the only thing I have to say is...WOW!

I love this expansion. I love the Dragon tokens. I love the new characters and cards and the way the whole dynamic of the game changes. That is not to say that the expansion is flawless, but it did go above and beyond my expectations.

I am not going to sit here and talk about the things that did not work, as they have been discussed in other threads. What I am going to do is offer this as a praise to the game designers, the artists, the creators and everyone on these forums who contributes in even the smallest of way by offering suggestions, asking rules questions and generally creating a bonafide community for what was my favorite board game as a child (second edition) and is my favorite board game as an adult.

Fantastic work on this latest expansion - looking forward to many more in the future.

It's very easy to criticize, and rather exciting to come up with House Rules and other suggestions.

But overall, I'm thrilled with the Dragon expansion, and applaud the designers' creativity and courage to deliver something different.

Same here! This expansion is my favorite and if I had to start over i'd probably buy the base game + The dragon only...
