So, let's see if I can get this straight...

My GM suggested me to take one, I was going for a jump pack...

Man, I am gona take a beating if the GM asks for a termite armor!

crisaron - Its a trap!!!

Well it's a lucky DM, I always tough you should spring a trap anyway, GM work so hard to make them!

Yeah, I found out last night that either Pistol/Basic Las weapons and Pistol Plasma/Melta/Flame(?) weapons work with that Power Supply Tampering rule. Curses! Well, no matter, there are other worthy options to choose from if I can get the Ancient Warrior talent. Legion Heavy Bolter, for instance. Or a Legion Plasma Gun with an upgrade (Extended Magazine seems nice). Or a Plasma Canon. Or a Heavy Flamer. Decisions, decisions...

...don't you have to roll your Power Armour quirk/modification, not pick it? Or have I missed something and you already rolled it?

I think if your Plasma Weapon is linked into your armor, you should take damage whenever it overheats. There's no dropping it if the power surge is coming from your back. It should also interfere with the normal functioning of your Power Armor, imparting -60 to all your reactions until your next round when a hooked-up weapon overheats.

A player who has to roll Plasma Cannon damage against himself might want to use a standard clip afterwards.

Giving starting Chaos Marines Terminator Armor doesn't seem so bad to me. Chaos Marines can be hundreds of years older than starting Space Marines, and should be a good step up in power from them at the start.

However, Terminator Armor isn't subtle. When I set traps for them full of melta-bombs, krak missile teams, and multi-mela ambushes, they'll be envying their more mobile comrades. Of course, eventually they can get teleporters to make up some of the inherit drawbacks of the armor, but by then everybody else will be getting new toys as well.

This is one of those balance issues I'd have more fun designing around than house-ruling out of existence.

That's hardly true. Most CSMs won't be very old at all. They have the same attrition and recruitment is basically the same.

though taking into account the fact that some are technicaly 10000 yrs old

I am a little confused with this rule. How do you buy equipment that doesn't cost more then your infamy(I think thats it) but no more then -10 aquisition?
