The perfect all-round Stormraven?

By Mjoellnir, in Deathwatch

Hello, imagine the following: A squad of Deathwatch Space Marines is assigned to a Rogue Trader Sword class frigate in the Koronus expanse. For off-ship mobility they get a Stormraven they can equip however they like, but they can't take along different loadouts. Now assume you are the Tech-Marine responsible. You have no exact idea what the Storm Raven will have to be used for, could be everything, boarding actions, dogfighting, ground support (anti-vehicle and anti-infantry) etc. How would you equip it and why?

Hurricane bolter sponsons and a plasma cannon turret. Can't remember if there was a pilot controlled turret as well, if there is, more plasma.

It should have pilot-controlled forward-facing guns too. Plasma, hm? I guess that means no ammunition resupply problems, for the main guns. gran_risa.gif Thanks. happy.gif

Np. Found out you can't actually have a pilot operated plasma cannon. But you can have a twin linked multi-melta :D

Yeah, I just took a look at the available options, I thought it would have been more, but there are only three. And the multi-melta is the best of them. Sounds like a good mix. Hurricane Bolters against light infantry, plasma cannon against heavy infantry and light vehicles and multi-melta against heavy vehicles. gran_risa.gif
