Feast or Famine and Bran Question

By rehlow2, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

If I choose Feast or Famine as my plot and "choose to add +6 gold to your income this marshalling phase." Does this still take effect if I kneel Bran to choose another plot? It looks like a "lasting effect" that was discussed in my other post about Bran here http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp?efid=18&efcid=4&efidt=537238&efpag=0#539007 Can you tell that I like Bran's ability? :)

If the "+6 gold" does last, then I don't see any reason why the "you cannot initiate challenges this round" wouldn't also stick around. Anyways, I still think it would be pretty cool to have Bran replace it for some plot with 4 or 5 printed gold on it and have 10 or 11 gold to spend that round (if I could find enough to spend it on). Alternatively, having 8 gold during Valar Morghulis would be pretty cool and not being able to declare challenges when I have printed zero claim isn't so bad.

Thanks.

Yes, Feast or Famine's "+6 Gold/No Challenges" would be a lasting effect that would still be in effect if the plot is replaced before the Marshaling or Challenges phase. The "When Revealed" is the point of initiation, so that's when the Marshaling/Challenges instructions activate. Obviously, for them to mean anything, they need to persist beyond the resolution of the "when revealed' text. So the effect is, indeed, passive - and if you replace Feast or Famine with Bran, you a would still be staring at the consequences of the "+6 Gold/No Challenges" decision.

I like the Feast, then Bran into Valar play better.
