If I play Guilty and kneel a noble crested character rather than kneeling 3 influence does that make it vulnerable to Paper Shield? It still has an influence cost, I just wouldn't have paid it having chosen the other route...
Will Paper Shield work against an event card that has an influence cost but is triggered another way like Guilty?
My understanding is that if you did not pay gold or kneel influence, then the event is vulnerable to Paper Shield. If you kneel a Noble character for Guilty, it can be Paper Shielded; if you kneel 3 influence, it can't.
