If you go to Y' ha-nthlei(Innsmouth expansion) how can you leave?

Ordinarily, you have to get another investigator to help you out from Falcon Point, or go through a gate and emerge somewhere else, or be smashed or reduced to a gibbering wreck. Lesson: never expect to come back from there without help.

However, there are encounters (though they are very rare) in the Y'ha-nthlei deck that allow you to return. There are more such encounters at Devil Reef. So if another investigator is unable to buy your passage back, then your best odds of returning lie at Devil Reef. But if there's a gate at Devil Reef, then expect to be devoured, driven insane, or knocked unconscious. That's what happens when you wander into the city of the Deep Ones.
