Yeah, did some testing yesterday with a deck that tries to cheat in GOO:s as effectively as possible. Was surprisingly easy to hold control long enough to get Nodens, Cthulhu or Yog Sothoth into play with relative ease. Hmm, next few months will be interesting as the current AP cycle progresses. So many new, powerful threats in the meta.....
Oh, my - great new Anti-Rush cards!
Ok I did some playtesting this weekend with the Initiate. It does stunt your board progress if you try to use it non stop. One game my opponent started playing Diseased Sewer Rats, so it pretty much stopped me from bouncing characters back to his hand.
One combo I used that seemed to work well, was the Initiate + Ritual of Power. This let me use him three times, and then after the story phase all domains refreshed, so I could still play actions/events I had out.
Also played with Broken Space, Broken Time a lot. I think this is a great card, but you have to be careful. Yog decks that force you to sac characters will eat this up. Usually you won't have many other characters out if you try to rush an AO out. I had tried this one game, and promptly had a Many Angled Thing and A Single Glimpse ruin my day.
Hmm, never thought of using ritual of power with initiate, interesting.
One efficient strategy i used while fooling around with a weird Things In The Ground/BS,BT Ancient One was to flash Nodens into play with Aziz Chatuluka. Good way to clear board in the early game, altough a bit situational.
