Where loyalty lies
It looks like Ring's champion card was de-tuned a bit, no?
With the possibly renamed Bandit Lord spoiled and now The Ghost of High Heart revealed in this, those who predicted we'd see the CCG champions cards reprinted seem to have been right. We can expect two more:
Flea Bottom: http://agot.dbler.com/index.php?view=card&arsenalid=17554
The First Snow of Winter: http://agot.dbler.com/index.php?view=card&arsenalid=18139
This is awesoem. simply awaesome.
Bandit Lord was VERY much needed in teh envrionment. Things like Ghaston Grey, the Targ hills, Frozen Outpost - just got a bit riskier to play. We really, really needed non challebge based location control - and this guy will eb a staple (again).
One can only hope First Snow gets reprinted. I'm not going to beleive it until I see it given Threat is in the envrionment adn VB has not been banned yet. With all three around =- 2 STR characters are going to be looked at much more carefully in th deck building process. Its one of my favorite Plots ever - but I'll beleive it when I see it.

It's being reprinted as a Greyjoy character, so it'll be a costly staple in any other house.

Yep, she is not 50% as good anymore IMHO. I was told the playtesters got ahold of her pretty bad. Maybe after the LTS debacle they decided to tone down Champ cards? Gaining the ally trait, losing the CBD trait (which really hurts), not immune to Bruno (Mathlete's) plot? Bleh. Oh, well - still hast he crest and the ability, so better than nothing. *shrug*
Can't wait to have First Snow back, although I assume they will tweak that as well (has any WC been reprinted as is? I guess we have only seen two).

Can't agree more. It was good weenie control that you couldn't abuse out of one house like Threat, and gave a real way for developers to develop 3 cost, 2 strength characters with better abilities. Probably one of my favorite plots ever, and I lost in the Top 4 one year to this card alone (after my deck was built to get around it, and it was played on me by its creator!).

As cool as it would have been to play a Westeros Bleeds intensive Brotherhood deck (where Beric and Ghost are CBD), I don't think the loss of CBD is a big deal. I haven't seen any competitive decks lately that play Westeros Bleeds, etc. Outside of Targ + Threat, I can't think of anything, and Targ's going to burn her anyway. Obviously less protection hurts, but doesn't seem like it hurts all that much in this case.
Seems to me the biggest downside is the Ally trait. That's kind of a bummer, but makes sense to me balance wise. This effect on a 2-gold neutral character is incredibly powerful. I really doubt the ally trait is going to keep very many people from playing it.

Threat is pretty well played, and it is just another plot effect that can hit her (yes, along with Bleeds and a few other events). ~And, if they don't change 1st Snow, that one as well, and that REALLY sucks
The Ally trait is pretty big - tempo is a decent amount of the game, and being able to hit w/ Oakheart/Varys (much less dissension) is pretty big.
But, like I said, I am just being emo...overall I am happy that FFG decided to reprint them. ~If I have issues, just man up and win another one (I had my chances).

The Champion cards are coming back? Ugh, I hope not all of them. Flea Bottom Sucks.

QFT,
hell we already have something like that out of Lanni, Mountain Camp. It would completeley negate that card.
~Or maybe we don't need to have flea bottom? how about a reprint of mountain camp with that champions name?

Don't worry, I'm sure it'll be changed enough to be playable.
At GenCon, you described Flea Bottom to me as "like River Row" so I can see them just making it into something like that, but with 1 cost and a 2-reduction

~Hey, don't blame us that you got rolled by the development team...
Wait...I just did too. Never mind!
(and thanks, TWn for the kind words)

I'm putting my chips down for it getting the 'one per deck' clause and an additional effect similar to Rose Garden's (i.e. discard it when you use it to have the character come into play standing).

I think it's plenty strong as is, especially with the presence of Vigilant & Vengeful in the environment. I don't think it needs the 1 per deck, given that it's unique. Ooh, or give it shadow synergy since that was the King's Landing cycle and add it "reduce by 3 instead if you have a card in shadows."
~Also, you'd have to have the text "Treat your house card as having 0 power on it for the purposes of responses to playing that is reduced by this effect." for appropriate synergies.
