Dragon hall movement question.

By jabib, in Talisman Rules Questions

Greetings fellow gamers.

First off. Me and some friends just started playing talisman a few weeks ago, and we are having a blast so far.

Secondly. I have two questions concerning movement in dragon tower and two questions for the normal rulebook.

Scenario: Player A and player B are both in the dragon tower working their way towards the king room, with player A being a few spaces ahead of player B.

Q1: Can player B cast a spell (Cant remember name of spell) that allows player B to decide what direction player A has to move in after player A has resolved his movement thru encounters in the tower. In this case player B wants player A to move backwards towards the entrance.

Does this collide with the rules concerning moving back in the dragon tower?

Q2: Is it allowed to use teleport spells inside the Dragon tower ?

I also have two questions for the normal game rules.

Q1: If a character enslaves en enemy and takes it as a follower what happens to the card and the potentially stats placed, when the follower is taken by another player ?

Q2: If player A has the amulet can player B still cast spells that boosts his own stats without being blocked by the amulet when engaging player A?

Regards.

Q1: This is the Misdirection Spell. I think Misdirection works in the Dragon Tower exactly as it works in the Inner Region of the base game. The affected Character A may be forced by B to move backwards towards the entrance, following exactly the same rules of Dragon Tower movement (= move 1 space + 1 space per defeated Enemy). It has been ruled that the Character is not considered to be "turning back" and can advance again next turn. I'm not sure if the "turning back" rule is applied in the Dragon Tower as well, but I'm inclined to think so.

Q2: no, the Rulebook states that you don't roll the die for your movement in the Dragon Tower, so you can't use Teleport because it replaces only movement with die roll. You can use Transference from Reaper Expansion, though.

Q1: Followers that have no "Follower" keyword on their cards are considered Followers only by the Character who acquired them by the use of a Special Ability or Spell. Other Characters do not see them as Followers and cannot use Special Abilities or Spells to acquire them. If the Character decides to ditch such Followers, or is forced to lose them in some way, these cards are discarded to the appropriate pile.

Q2: Yes. The Amulet only prevents the carrier from becoming a Spell's target. Other Characters are unaffected if they cast Spells on themselves.

Thx for the answer warlock.

I love this game but the rules can be somewhat "hard" to decifer and understand. But with some carefull reading and some online searching im sure most questions will find their answer.

Regards.
