Brotherhood Advice

By thejibboo, in 4. AGoT Deck Construction

Well, i never really wanted to make a Brotherhood deck, but i had a weird idea for a Neutral House deck and it really needs Hollow Hill to work, so i'm being steered in that direction. The question that leads me to is: what is the minimum number of Brotherhood characters that is advisable to run to not risk being stuck without one to put power on? Also, aside from Beric, are there any Brotherhood characters that are auto-include in all Brotherhood decks?

And it's a rules question rather than deck building, but while i have your attention: while you are running the Brotherhood agenda can you still put power on characters with infamy, or does the "must" in the wording of the agenda override the "may" in the wording of infamy?

I wouldn't worry too much about not having a brotherhood out to put power on. Beric should be out as soon as possible, with summoning season if necessary, and if he's somehow killed you've probably lost anyway. That being said, The Mad Huntsman is excellent and should be in too, probably multiple copies. Anguy, Lady Stoneheart and Thoros are all really good too. Less useful but still good are Lem, Tom and the Orphaned Recruits, which can be used to keep power off your house card as well as stealing it.

And yeah, the Agenda overrides infamy.

I would definitely include mad huntsmen, anguy, stoneheart, orphaned recruits.

Tom and Thoros are decent too depending on your build and what you are trying to protect against.

Yeah, you're right.

According to ktom:

"The end result is that you will always have the chance to put power you claim or move to your House on a card with Infamy before being required to put it on a Brotherhood character."
