Tears of Vykyris - Anima Demo Scenario

OK here is the rules page, a PC (without portaits) and a reveal (each PC has 2 reveals during the game that reveal a secret and evolve their abilities). There are some spoilers here, so if you intend to play in the scenario stop now.

As said, the mechanical side of the scenario is quite different from the Anima rules set but it was inspired by it. The idea is to give people with no prior knowledge a taste of the game and give them the best experience in doing so. I am a strong believer that story and character comes first and mechanics follow. :)

Please note that the document has not been fully proofed and may also be altered when playtested. This is just a taste.

This stuff looks great man. I can't wait to see the finished product! :D

Cheers. The scenario is all done except for the proofing by other people which is likely to take a week or so. I will look to release a Playtest Version before October is out. After I playtest it on 4 January 2012, I will release the full version.

Anima Tactics was certainly as inspiration, as was Anima Beyond Fantasy and a number of other RPGs.

happy.gif The playtest versions should be up soon. The mechanics check produced only a few things.

If people playtest it in the interveining period and have comments, I will endeavour to put them in the final version. However, I would like to playtest it first lengua.gif

Righto. This is the playtest version of Tears of Vykyris. I will playtesting it in January and will make changes to it that arise from that session.

As said, its intended to be a self contained scenario and an introduction into the world (and game) of Anima.

The document is 14MB. It is also a hefty read :) I am kind of left numb (in a good way) by the experience of revisiting it even after a few weeks :D

As a matter of interest, do people want a US letter sized version of the document? It is currently A4, which is the native paper size here in New Zealand.
