Hello people. I´m interested in getting Tannhauser, but I still have some doubts. On BGG people share opposites views about "good" or "bad" system and rules. I really liked the scenario, but I´m afraid the game will be more like a "bad D&D skirmish" than a WWI eldrich tactical game.

Can you give me some opinions?

Tannhauser is very far away from "bad D&D skirmish" , it's a wonderfull tactical game.

Two players, five painting miniatures vs other five (generally). The tactics is expressed by:

1) the faction played;

2) the character used;

3) the equipement chosen for each character (three different kits: combat pack, stamina pack and command pack, each of them include three objects/abilities puls an object/ability specific for that character);

4) the board map used;

5) different game mode (objective, deathmach, capture the flag, domination, king of the hill and the wonderful story mode)

I think you woud like it very much.
