The ravens have set to flight, carrying the message wide and far–a tournament for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game is to be held upon Black Friday, November 25th, 2011. With the recent changes to the FAQ, this is an exciting time to test the metagame with your favorite strategy. Can a few Maesters shift the balance of power between the Great Houses of Westeros? Will military might win the day? Seed your intrigues, gather reports from your spiders, and head to New York City to participate in this tournament full of tradition.

Convening the council
The New York Night’s Watch organizers and New York A Game of Thrones: The Card Game community are pleased to host the 7th Annual Black Friday Event on November 25th, 2011. Held the day after Thanksgiving, this is New York’s largest annual event for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game. With participants traveling from as far as Italy to test their skill, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to join us, and stake your claim for the title of the next Black Friday Champion!

Walk-in participants are welcome, but we cannot guarantee we will have a T-shirt in your size unless you register in advance.
Scheme for control of the realm!
The event will follow standard Fantasy Flight Games guidelines for a 1 vs. 1 “Joust” competition. Full rules for competitive play are available on the A Game of Thrones: The Card Game support page.
Participants will play five preliminary Swiss rounds, followed by a cut to elimination play. Depending on the turn-out, elimination play will feature the top four or top eight players from the Swiss rounds.
All LCG cards for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game released by or before November 1st, 2011 are legal for this event, excluding those “banned” for competition in the most recent FAQ. Additionally, the event will adhere to all clarifications and changes introduced within the current FAQ.
