Chink in the Armour

By scrubbless, in WFRP Rules Questions

Hello! I'm new to the forums so be gentle happy.gif

I've been playing WFRP for quite a few years and FF's version since release.

Quite a few game sessions ago I picked up the pretty awesome Observation skill '***** in the Armour', nice for a non spell caster "Int based character" (just hit apprentice Rune Priest as my 4th career gui%C3%B1o.gif ).

The problem is, every game sessions our game is derailed for about 10 minutes with the question.. "What the hell is the picture on the ***** in the armour card?!" .

Does anyone have any speculations as to what the hell this picture is... Because its driving us all mad.

My guess is its some sort of Minotaur with an odd helmet bring hit by a flail.... But the picture is cropped so close that you can't make anything out!

Some other suggestions as to what it could (by the other players and GM):

  • A mini horned groin chariot
  • Some sort of ogre with a flail wrapped round his leg, standing over a wierd table thing.

Please any suggestions as what this could be would greatly help get our games back on track!

Note: I really wish I could provide a picture of the card, but I can't find a pic on google sad.gif

This action card is racist and should be banned. happy.gif

The conversation at our table is, how did he get in there anyway?

It's cropped from a picture of two Kurgan chaos marauders, I believe. The main one in the picture has a black iron helm, improbably sized biceps, and a horned breastplate. You can see the other one's arm in the left side of the picture.

It is one of my least favorite pieces of warhammer art, but it gets used pretty frequently. I have seen it a few times in Warhammer games; most notably pg. 153 of the WFRP 2nd edition book Tome of Corruption, and of course the card in question.

I actually didn't have a clue what you were talking about from the initial post, but the above two discriptions brought it home for me. Yes, the above poster is correct. Essentially.

Don't know how to incorporate pictures, but here is the link to it. I hope this is no problem copyright-wise...

Haha thanks!

Man that's a horrible bit of art work, right there.
