Jan Releases and links on Table top games

By Inquisitor Liss, in Mutant Chronicles

Does anyone know when the Jan relases are scheduled to release? we are in the last week and my LGS has had no information from distributors. His distributor said "they think the game is discontinued and it there wont be releases anymore" so he set me loose to find some truth since I am the league play manager for this awesome game! I tried to defeat the false allegations by showing concept work for new miniatures but all the links on table top gaming news just lead to FFG's main page now and you cant find the pics in the old news section. I knew it was dying but not without a complete set and maybe those few new miniatures. Anyone have info? it would be nice to hear something from admin to encourage a hold out for the game corazon_roto.gif

I agree. I'd love to have some kind of information.

One of my distributor partners here in germany list new releases up to april, in the following order:

Jan.

Fury's Wrath Booster

Book of Law Booster

(Both are from wave 2 and still missing here in germany)

Feb.

Security Specialist

Max Steiner

Mutant Chronicles Map Pack 1

Mitch Hunter

Divine Retribution

Battlesuit Prototype

March

Undead/Cursed Legionaires

Free Marine Hero

Infernal Corrodor

Dragoon / Dragoon Kapitan

Freedom Brigadier Sergeant

Mercurian Spawn

Etoilles Mortant

April

Biogiant / Advanced Biogiant

Thank you for the info Dominik

I really hope they don't stray much from this schedule... I want those Legionnaires and the Corroder in the worst way. :)

And I want more stuff to knock down your puny ice golems with. happy.gif

These are only the last known release dates here in germany! I can not promise, that this schedule is correct! happy.gif

I hate to say that it but I think this game in its death thralls. I dont see why they wouldnt release those miniatures from the basic set when it was CMG but I have great doubt any of us are going to see any of those concept sketches come to a table. My group is snatching up Ebay cheapies and we use them for Inquisitor too so it is okay with me I can still repaint and hack them up for that game but I did want this game to take off. The MC universe is so cool and the mythos/story from thefluff is awesome, it just seems the MC universe is cursed and destined to fail.

Any official words about this?

This game has been romoured to be dying since before it started. I'll wait till its dead before i atart worrying.

Hear, hear.

Then lets all keep a stiff upper lip and hope those releases keep coming. My gaming group and I hope to be posting some 3D boards we have made for the game from heroscap stuff and i will be posting a quick conversion or two I have done on the minis to give my force a unique look next month.

This game translates surprisingly well to free-measure 3D terrain; I'll post some pix when I have time as well. Looking forward to the map pack, however.

In fact, there are only a few units still missing. I think FFG had already produced them, and will them release, regardless if the project is an win or loss. FFG ist not Mongoos Publishing happy.gif It doesn´t fit to FFG to cancel a game during 2/3 of it´s full release.

Still missing:

Algeroth: Advanced Bio Giant, Bio Giant, Infernal Corroder (only 3 units left!)

Bauhaus: Max Steiner, Battlesuit Prototype, Dragoon, Dragoon Kapitan, Etoilles Mortant, Security Specialist (only 6 units left!)

Brotherhood: Archinquisitor Nikodemus (only 1 units left!) (okay, still no wave 2 brotherhood here in germany - BTW: When will Nikodemus bee released ???)

Capitol: Mitch Hunter, Free Marine Hero, Free Marine Tank Hunter, Freedom Brigadier Sergeant (only 4 units left!)

So, about 14 Units are still missing from the base set. I think thats okay. Hope, the rest will be released in the next few months and i´m happy. gran_risa.gif

so close and I hope you are right aplauso.gif there is also the Ilian packs of undead troopers and the ilian <big guy with a gun from mercury> forget the name? Those seemed done as well and had pics of finished products on the net! The one I was very excited to see was the concept art for the venusian raptor babeo.gif That would be so cool!!!!

I had one question for those who have played on 3D scale if they would be interested in posting house rules on how they translate elevated terrain in ranges etc... or any other rules and maybe we can put together a link with these items for download. I know the one item we are going to face and are going to try to solve is how much elevated terrain changes range. For example if you are on a second floor of a runied building and your target is 4 hexes away do you add 2 hexes to the distance or leave it at 4?

You measure literally base to base (rathar than hex) and then translate in inches. If the hex is 2" wide and the bio giant is up on a hill, 9" away, it is range 5. Keep it simple and you'll be happy, as it is hard to measure ground to ground with elevated. In addition, the higher up one is, the better protected it is by range.

the only other option is to go somewhat of the Mechwarrior route; add 1 to the distance for any elevated critter. I prefer the former, however, for this game.

Once a base completed enters specific terrain, it stops just like in the game's hex "area". With 3d, however, you can have large regions of cover. Have fun, and see what rules work for your group.
