While playing my second ever game last night Galactica took damage. The damage token chosen didn't have a location or resource on it, instead it had a red silhouette of Galactica, we took this to mean Hull Damage just like the Basestar equivolent. Was that a correct assumption and if so does it also +2 to rolls agaisnt Galactica in the same way hull damage affects Basestars? Finally, if you can only repair the loation you're in is it possible to repair Hull Damage?

We ended up playing it as it being Hull Damge, having no effect on dice rolls but was unrepairable and counted towards Galacticas total of areas damaged. Is that right?

That symbol means the Galactica loses a fuel (it matches the symbol on the fuel dial). The Galactica does not suffer hull damage in the way that Basestars do.
