Just wanted to give people a heads up on things that being planned by me...........................

March: Patch Up Tournaments.

I will be putting together kits out of the promos and patches I have left in the cupboard and this event will be open to any venue that emails me, my email is steveg@esdeviumgames.com . No email, no event, sorry, but that is how I want to handle this one. The kits will contain one patch of everyone I have left over, there will be no scope for " Can we have this patch........?" as I don't have the full set in excess, but everyone will get the same. The idea is to give people who haven't won a patch yet the chance to, or give players the chance to fill gaps. How people run this tournament is up to them.

May: Path of the Master Finals.

This looks like it will be Saturday 16th May at Loughborough University, although this is by no means set in stone yet. Anyone who attended teh Street Fighter Nationals will have met Tyler, the guy who organised teh overall event that day, we he is running the Vs Nationals in the same building that day and has asked if we would like to put on a UFS event, the obvious choice for this being the PotM Finals. Now I am aware that this may cause issues for a couple of people, a clash between Vs and UFS, but you can still claim your promos just by turning up, although I'd rather people played UFS and not Vs.

June: UFS Goes Mad In Hampshire Weekend.

I'm looking to put on a whole weekend of UFS goodness on, the current date for this is 27th & 28th June . Event one will be on Saturday 27th at The Games Shop in Aldershot, although at the minute I haven't decided what that event will be. At the minute I'm looking to do something that isn't a standard constructed as the following day's event event will be one. It also needs to be appealing enough to attract enough people, some thought needs to applied here, not my strongst point. Sunday 28th will be a Regional and it will be held in Alton Community Centre due to the Games Shop not opening until 12 and me wanting to get this underway before that. Alton is very close to Aldershot and the community centre has it's own cafe, I'm currently in negotiations will the nice lady there to have hot food included in the entry price, would people prefer a full on roast or hot dog/burgers type thing?

T Shirts.

I'll be doing T Shirts for the PotM Finals and the Hampshire weekend, as with the SF Nats, these will be limited in number. I was rather chuffed with the Ryu image that I found for the SF Nats shirt and would like something a tad different for these shirts too. With that in mind if anyone knows of a really cool image of one of the UFS characters that we can use legally please let me know. Alternatively, if anyone is a totally awesome artist and would like to volunteer their services I'm up for that idea too.

Also, brilliant idea for the UFS themed weekend, definately a good choice. We've been needing a gigantic event for everyone to look forward to and now we have at least 2

Well, it's my understanding that players receive one promo per a patch that they have just for turning up, I'm pretty sure that is what it said originally. If there are any changes to this I will let everybody know. One thing that will not be available to those not taking part in the event is the final promo, its very simple, no play, no promo.

UFS goes Mad in Hampshire UPDATE:

It has been suggested that the Saturday event should be the UK Legacy Format Nationals ! This would be an unofficial title, but give the winner uber bragging rights. How does that sound? Does it make you want to travel to the delightful Hampshire countryside?

There is one promo for every patch produced, so an Air promo, Void promo, etc. Players will receive one copy of each promo per patch they have. If you are lucky enough to have got your hands on four copies of every patch then you will receive 52 promo cards and strange looks for have 4 Infinity patches......

Curses, foiled again! Well I have 5 patches so I guess I'll have a promo for trade. Mebbe 2 if I get meself a Void patch.

last thing i knew of was there was 1 promo and you got 1 for each patch you had not 13 different promos

if it was that then i am really annoyed at that due to it would be neigh impossible to collect a playset of each and try to be fiar to your fellow player as well

Well, I gots me one patch, but if there's a Legacy event, I will SO be piloting *Sagat* for the RAWR factor.

It goes both ways though, if you have picked up say 12 patches you end up with a load of trades and wondering why you just didn't stop at 4 or 6 or what have you. Without being able to drag Justin original announcement of this up from the grave it's hard to double check. Which ever way it is you all know I'll be making it worth while, one way or an other. Now if only FFG would give me some information.........................

I'm kinda hoping the promo is that Enkidu the Valiant card that showed up a couple of months ago, I'd gladly take that a playset of that.

Dead excited by all these events, but I reckon I can only make max two of these Real life is so unfair!

Thinking I may have to skip the Legacy event, since as I don't have the majority of the UBERS that made Legacy brokesauce.

And I will be most intrigued by the patchs and how this pans out, hope they don't make us give them back, I don't think I could take it, my poor bag would look most sad

Patch Up Tournament - Update:

I have put the kits together now, to make it fair for all there will be five different patches. I could have put random other ones in the kits, but that way lies people complaining because they didn't get what some oe else got. There is also two packs of promos in each kit, just to add to the mix.

We have had 7 stores apply for Patch Up Tournaments now:

Patriot - Sheffield

Antics - Plymouth

Clifton Road - Exeter

Spot On - Swindon

The Games Shop - Aldershot

Lingard - Colchester

Phoenix Games - Leicester

There are some notable places missing, Glasgow, Cardiff, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, etc. If anyone in these cities would like to run an event please let me know.

This is the proposed back of the PotM Tshirt, I'll probably put it on a baseball t shirt again too. Yes I know there aren't all thirteen sysmbols there, that is for a very good reason, I don't have thirteen usable ones, tht and its unlucky.............

Your right, any profit from the Ryu SF Shirts went to charity, as a result we donated £50 ( I rounded it up) to Tylers chosen charity. I will be doing the same the same for these T shirts too, I just have to get a price for them first.

Glad you approve of the choice of symbols Rob, the earlier version had all the symbols, but looked too cluttered. The front will have the UFS logo and Path of the Master Finals 2009 under it.

Still no volunteers for doing art for the Weekend event in June though.....................

Art for the weekend event? I don't remember reading that? What sort of thing would you have me do?

The Ryu picture I used for SF Nats was a bit different, not just a bog standard pic of him and it was something along those sort of lines I would like to use again. I love the cut away picture of Ryu, but we have done that now, so something original and different, yeah, that sounds about right. Not worried about which property, but I'd probably avoid SF as that has been used, Darkstalkers would be my choice, but it's not just up to me, it is also about what everyone else would like to see. Hmmm, not sure this has been that useful, I'll give you a call, that may be easier................

Yeah, ok, well, I'll be free after work tonight if you want to call me then, although I don't know if my drawings would work on a t-shirt so well, as they're only pencil drawings, perhaps I'll go with a scratchy ink look for it, and I'd probably want to go Darkstalkers too anyway, it's my favourite licence too after all
