Question before the introduction of the rule LCGFAQ3.0 - The Maester's Path F19
Should read: "... attach a chain from this card
and it printed Maester character you control. "

l play event "We light the Way" and all my maesters doesnt kneel to one chalenge. I have in the game for example, Robert Baratheon, whom in the course chalenge do maester (attachment-Apprentice Collar). It works on it also rule that the maester doesnt kneel to chalenge or referse it only maestres, who were in the game at events abroad this?

The errata refers ONLY to the "Maester's Path" agenda, which now only interacts with "printed maesters" (characters who have the trait "Maester" written on their carD). "We Light the Way" interacts with all characters with the trait "maester" (not just "printed maesters), so it will affect Robert with apprentice collar.

I think what he's asking is whether or not Maester characters that come into play after the event is played - or characters that gain the Maester trait after the event is played - but before the end of the phase are affected by the "does not kneel to attack or defend" effect.

Consider this: suppose you had a location that said "Your Maester characters do not kneel to attack or defend during power challenges." Would that affect characters that were not Maesters when the location was played or that came into play after the location did? Of course, because the effect is a constant effect that lasts as long as the location is in play.

The effect from the event is exactly the same - except that it lasts until the end of the phase without the event card still being in play. It is a lasting effect that works continuously on your characters through its duration.

Now, if it said something like "choose all Maester characters you control. Those characters do not kneel to attack or defend...," then the lasting effect would be targeted instead of general, and it would only apply to the characters you had when it was played.
