Question about Warding Statue

By Ksdas, in Mansions of Madness

Warding Statue -- When defending in combat, you cannot be stunned or dealt more than 1 damage from a single attack.

Hi guys, do you have any problem here about "from a single attack" ?

So during keeper's turn, if someone carrying warding status is attacked by several monster in the same space. (all need combat card resolve, of course)

(A) Is that count as Muti-attack and the investigator can only be protected by warding status from one of the monster's attack?

(B) Or warding status affect all the time and each monster can only deal one damage and not able to stun the investigator ?

Each monster's attack is a separate attack, so WS works against any number of monsters per turn.

That would be OP on McGlenn.

Got it, thanks! hmmmm~

Why not just simple pirinted as "If attacked, cannot be stunned or dealt more than 1 damage"......

MOM is a great game , but just like other FFG's product, the rule is not clarified precisely and comfusion part not explained~~~

That makes me not willing to buy new games from FFG until the FAQ and Errata is released.....

MC is low sanity but with high willpower, Spectrophobia will make him insane effectively.

And without warding statue, the professor with low attribute will easily be killed...

furthermore, warding statue is not wokring on evade test.

So OP is not realy what I concerned. But in some scenario if Keeper need to kill sb. carrying warding statue and not allowed to ues "The only way out", that will be a challenge....Not to mention if ohter character can heal or add skill point to him......

It's printed as a single "attack" most likely to distinguish it from Mythos events that can do MORE than 1 damage. Thus, the Warding Statue is really only good for protection from monster attacks.

Hmmm, you are right, mine is too simple. I should revise the prefix as "If attacked during combat". - -
