My first Dundjinni Map for Mutant Chronicles!

By Cyborgtrucker, in Mutant Chronicles

I have finally produced a map small enough to put on my Box.net account that doesn't require a purchase of higher download rates. It is a map of the steamy jungles of Venus complete with an abandoned military camp, exotic flora and other details. I'm still learning how to print these out at my local copy place. I didn't put the colored hexes onto the map to denote Cover and Difficult Ground so if you print it out you and your players will have to agree on what counts as what. But I don't think it would be too difficult.

I have another map that I call the streets of Luna City but it is HUGE (over 50mb compressed) so I need to figure out where I can post it.

So if you are interested or know how to print out these maps, please come download it from my blog ( PAGE DOWN TO BOTTOM TO FIND IT ). Also any tips on how to print these would be awesome!

Very nice map. The plants are well rendered.

Pretty cool map, dude. Lots of thanks! I'll try to print it in a few weeks when I finish my exams. serio.gif

pretty cool, i like the turret. did yoou not want to add cover, hindering terrian, or vps?

That's very cool. I'd love to see the terrain markings too.

Also, any idea what percentage I need to scale this up when I print it?

Great map. And I appreciate the fact that you have bands such as Nuclear Assault and GWAR on your player. gui%C3%B1o.gif

I didn't only cause I wasn't sure how people would like to interept things like multi-hex clumps of foliage. Do you make it all hindering or not. Also players can choose if they like to treat the hexes the artillery is on as the VC munitions dump where you get to make a free attack. I kind of left it open since it isn't any sort of offical map so players can do what they like to make the map more their own.

I'm still learning how to get these printed at my local print shop. My friend's daughter is figuring out for us so when she's done I will post the info here and for future maps I put out. Though if anyone else has input please let me know, or post it here. Thanks.

OK I just did some editing to the map. There are now markings for VC, Cover, Hindering terrain and Starting Zones. So let me know what you think.

Exellent work, Cyborgtrucker ! The new version is perfect ! Not sure the map is really balanced (there aren't a lot of walls, and the covers are too large, making life easy for turtling double hex figs), but testing it should be a lot of fun, so who cares ?? And at least, it offers a very different challenge from the maps we already have. Well done !

Very nice work, Cyborg! I love the detail involved within the map! I'm going to take it down to Kinko's and get it printed out, hopefully to the correct scale' I think I'll post some gameplay with the map!

Thanks again, Cyborg!

Thanks for all the comments. I'm in the middle of re-doing my Streets of Luna Map. I orignally had it set up on 32x64 hex map with hexes roughly 13/4". Which is a truely massive map. Probably great for multi player battles or epic level events. The problem is my original map kind of came out to bright and clean. Luna from the RPG descriptions is a crowded amd filthy megaopolis. So it needs a rework. But when I do post it I will break it down into smaller sections that can be printed out seperately and slid all together for a colossal map or played in smaller pieces.

Streets of Luna ?? Awesome ! Can't wait for this one !

Streets of Luna sounds like a ton of fun!

When you said break it down, does that mean, it could be made "modular" style, or simple a fixed map that is broken into pieces?

And I got the map printed on HUGE posterboard, at the right scale, too! Cost me about $38; it looks amazing, and I should be working it into the campaign me and my fiance are running as our war is all over Venus! Woot! I should have a video of it up, real soon.

I was intending more of a map broken into sections but modular is posible too. I see what I can do.
