I am working on some alternative charsheet and came across the following question:

What is the highest score a character can achieve for his characteristics?

I assume

• 6 for in-career characteristics (due to 6 open advances)
• 4 for non-career characteristics (only 5 non-career boxes on original charsheet)

Are these two lines "Non-Career Advances" also a restriction? I wouldnt think so...

i would say yes you are right........but you can always house rule whatever you want

Per the official FAQ, yes, a character can raise his Career's Primary Characteristics up to 6, and can raise non-Career Characteristics up to 4.

Also as mentioned somewhere (probably the FAQ) the two lines for non-Career advances *are* intended as a limit...but there's nothing stopping you from ignoring that should you decide to.
