(UK Event) The Edge of Darkness (22nd Feb 2009)

By Eryx_UK, in CoC General Discussion

The Edge of Darkness.
Sunday February 22nd 2009

Lawrence reached over from his hospital bed, handing the envelope to Harvey Blackwood. Harvey took it and immediately ripped it to open and took out the documents inside.
“I’m the last, Harvey. When I die that thing we brought forth from elder spheres will be loosed upon the Earth. I’m not long left for this world, and you are the only one I can trust to do this.”
Harvey read the frightening tale, of foolish university students tampering with unknown forces. The same forces that were creeping into Arkham night after night. Of how they brought forth the liveliest awfulness, and how it cost them the lives of two of their number. Now that same horror was trapped inside the house, waiting patiently for the last of its captors to die.
“You can count on me, Lawrence” Harvey said, stuffing the envelope into his coat pocket and left the hospital never to see his friend alive again. Little did he know what awaited him.

A small bump since we're only 3 weeks away. Any chance of seeing some new faces?

Six cultists arrived at the ring of stones atop Sentinal Hill today to praise the Outer Gods.

Final placings:

1st - Andrew Proudly - Syndicate/Miskatonic Avatar Toolkit deck.
2nd - Marko Thomas - Hastur/Yog Discard & Insanity deck.
3rd - Ian "Multch" Turner - Miskatonic/Yog Investigate Rush deck.
4th - Andrew "Nomad" Clarke - Shub/Agency Wounding deck.
5th - Darren Davis - Yog/Cthulhu LCG and AP deck.
6th - Colin "Big Show" Goodman - Mono Cthulhu Toolbox deck.

Overall a good turn out wth some fun but horribly frustrating games. At the end it was very close between Andrew P and Marko as to the top slot.

Congrats to Andy P for winning. Good to see him back and playing.

Heres hoping that we can get some new faces down next time.
