My copy just turned up in the post and I'm expecting delivery of the GM's screen tomorrow. A weighty Tome with great production quality.
Just arrived!

Great to hear!
This could be the new "Street Date"-thread where everyone happily announces when they have it in their grubby little tentacles. Can't wait to have mine.
That means mine will be arriving in the store here in Dallas, TX soon! Yay!
Mine arrived earlier today. It seems to be better laid out than the Deathwatch 'Core' book but I haven't got to deep into it yet.
How about sharing some details with those of us who don't have the book yet? I'm especially interested in the setting info on The Screaming Vortex: how many Chaos Worlds are detailed, and how weird are they? And what's the deal with Necrons- do they activly control a swath of territory inside the Vortex, or are they just lurking mysteriously on the fringes?
Does the release copy have fixes from the GenCon version or same book basically?
Necrons are not directly stated to control any given world, afaik, but there are mentioned to be bizarrely stable portions within the howling vortex, which seem eerily devoid of life; many champions boast of setting forth into these pockets, and none have returned. They are mostly mysterious and legendary rather than having definite territories.
But here's what really struck me as interesting is that it mentions that a clever renegade actually met and allied with a necron lord to loot a space hulk together... going with the new, vastly improved fluff of necron lords having their own motivations rather than LOL WE'RE METALLIC WORLD EATERS. I'm disappointed that we haven't seen the stats of Pariahs, Necron Lords, or Monoliths yet, though. Still, a horde of necron warriors or flayed ones coming after you is so great.
Wait, Wut? Allied with a Necron?
Yeah. Though, this Aetehk guy is still not a nice necron lord, and loves to violently harvest entire populations (why, I'm not sure, but he also seeks inorganic matter, various artifacts, etc.)... just he has no scruples of working with or against chaos.
Got an e-mail from the other local(ish) game store that it arrived today! Going to go and pick it up now with my five year old. Adventures will be had!
This has got to be the most anticipated game in a couple of years for me.

The copies released at GenCon and the copies hitting stores now will all be from the first print run, and thus are identical.

Thanks.
What is it that needed fixing?
The same thing as all RPGs: Faulty spelling, rules errors, wrong references,...

Pretty much this - not sure why or how people whould think an entire errata would be added to the book, layouts adjusted, have the new version printed, and shipped to the US, and then to US and international distributors, all in the 1 month or so since Gencon... because if any other company has ever done that, I've never heard of them.
I'm sorry guys, but I have to relieve myself.
Today is FRIDAY, and after almost 3 MONTHS of waiting (I ordered my BC copy at the beginning of July, and its end of September), I finally got my email saying, that my order was send to me... ON FRIDAY!
So I have totally FREE WEEKEND, with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do, and NOTHING PLANNED, bored to death, and since the order was send ON FRIDAY, I'm going to receive it no sooner than MONDAY!
My next 2 weeks INCLUDING WEEKENDS, I can only think of as HELL UNLEASHED with ABSOLUTELY NO FREE TIME, with no even being at home.
Whom should I thank for sending my order on FRIDAY after almost 3 months waiting, just before the only weekend, that I have time to actually read it?!?!
**** I'm mad...
Picked mine up this afternoon fro, my FLGS...very pleased!!

Had to cancel my Pre-order and by it elsewhere but it's finally Mine!
Just out of curiosity, has anyone that has gotten their copy already order theirs from amazon? The game was officially announced on sale today but amazon still says that Black Crusade isnt coming out until January 12, 2012....
Amazon and RPG pre-orders.... ....always a tough bet in my experience. Given that the book is in distribution now, it will change, but it is simply a waiting game. Ironically, I believe that Amazon.uk started fulfilling orders earlier this week...

Since I get playtest copies, I have to wait for FFG to begin shipping out their own copies before I can get mine.
Kinda ironic that I get to play the game months before you all, but I don't get to own the book until weeks after you guys
Ironic indeed!

Ya, but I got the book for almost 50% off so no complaining i guess... I just want it ):
Just picked up the book and the GM screen today. I've perused it but won't have time to sit down and devour it until tomorrow night. Grr...
Can't wait for my collector's edition to arrive!
