1, 2, 3 Shuffle and Beat, Elena gets the boot...

By Navitude, in UFS Deck Building

So after a lot of play testing it comes down to this. Character swap. Don't get me wrong, I think she's an awsome character with her first two enhances and the third is the icying on the cake, but there arn't alot of decent duel symbols attacks besides Lynx Tail and Spinning Beat that make decent use out of both of her enhances. Not to mention getting the third symbol for the third symbol isn't easy and in some cases just isn't worth it, mainly because Flashy Leg Work takes up a place in your card pool for the next attack making it harder to string and well Warrior Princess is a 3/4 foundation that brings down the checking within the deck and only gives you a symbol for one attack, meaning that youe only getting that yeh full of enhances once.

So without decent support of attacks or otherwise I just have to swap out. I choose ::Talim:: insted. She's got awsome speed boost and damage redux making her a far more agressive character. Also to speed up the deck I dropped Flashy Leg Work for Manifest Destiny, dropped the Lynette's Shop for Commitment to Excellence, dropped the Annihilating Flames for Spinning Beats (needing 4 still), dropped the Soul Burner for Moon Slasher. Also -1 TKDZ, Healer, QFV, and Emp's Ruin for 4 White Magic.

Fire, bringing back dam good agro so you can kick puppies all day long!

You know, I used to play Evil Ibuki and play MM's twice for 24 damage turn two... This is a fire deck, shouldn't I be playing that twice turn 2 for 30 damage? I realize that I have already made some bad choices as in not putting in White Magic to be able to pull it off. So question, what should I take out to put in the White Magic, also should I just up the MM's to 4 insted of 3?

commitment 2 excellence would fit nicely in here maybe for the quest for vengances but i would definitely run white magic for more momentum gen as well its a sound choice and if you checking is solid then yes add another MM otherwise dont bother it might hurt you in the long run

Sorry but Commetment to Excellence just doesn't amount to Quest for Vengance. I saw it to day in a match and it works really well for pushing attacks through it was awsome. I like the six check and more is always better, just that the I have no idea where to slot it in, I am thinking that Empire's Ruin swaps for the White Magic, and I'll keep testing on the MM's. Generally with Quest of Vengance and Elena's enhance pumps MM for a decent damage and push's almost all 15 through. Also I like my Lynx Tail E: to Healer E: to Fight or Flight which works well. Then again I do like the damage pump... okay, comprimize!

+4 White Magic

+3 Commitment to Excellence

Though I need help cutting some things for the balance. Tips and Tricks please! Also, wheres the Vast Resources for block 3?

maybe its just my meta screwing with me but usually turn 2 nobodys blocking but i guess the days of turn 2 kills are pretty much done so maybe i should let it go a little and play for turn 3 or 4......does tae kwon do zepher help you besides being a 0/5 foundation since your attacks dont hit for much at printed damage anyways?

I haven't tested the deck yet but it looks like I could turn 2. TKDZ does help with Linx Tail combo also it beats out the minor damage redux in the current meta at the store. It's not bad, but ya it doesn't do much... Also will No Memories slow my deck down?

it might a small bit but i dont think that it could hurt that much considering you only have bitter rivals as a difficulty on a foundation higher then 2 plus it could help out the deck live in case you cant kill as early as you would like 2 id say just test it out and see how it goes

A suggestion; perhaps you might have problems with the Light Hearteds, since the attack has to deal damage. If you want immediate momentum input for your Melancholic, consider The King of Fighters 2006. You lose a card from hand, but so does your opponent.

For some odd reason most people don't realize that KOF2006 has Fire lol

Mmmmm...? Thats a thought, but really Light Hearted makes the deck run much faster, plus Elena is DNE now. Over much thought and "play testing" the deck has eveolved into, well not Elena anymore. I'll explain on the edit above.

I'd drop one of the attacks for No Memories. You don't need THAT many attacks in a fire deck, especially if you're throwing out MMs like nobody's buisness.
