What do the symbols mean on the top of PC action cards?

By daddystabz, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I am just now trying to get into WFRP 3e with a local group and I'm trying to organize all my fiddly bits. I want to separate out the action cards according to type but need to know what the symbols mean in the upper left corner of the cards please. The swords I think mean melee attacks, the bows mean ranged I guess...what about the book? Is it for arcane spells? Etc, etc.

Thanks!

Melee - Sword

Ranged - pistol

Spell - Flaming ball

Blessing - Book with twin-tailed comet

Support - Flag

Defense - Shield

I wish I had the hardbacks. I have the boxed set stuff.

I purchased the Creature Vault the other day with all the fiddly bits. It has all the creature cards and stuff but no fluff or info about each creature in terms of general info. Would I need to buy the hardback book for that?

Yes. The Creature Guide has all the fluff. BTW, the 'known' creature ability standard actions are here: www.gitzmansgallery.com/WFRP3_Resources/index.html

If you own 2nd edition stuff, the 3rd edition creature guide is redundant.
