I am steadily building an Axis army for the up-coming DUST WARFARE.
I guess I will end up with quite a no. of Battle Grenadier squads, and am looking for ways to add variety.
It seems the Deluxe version of some of the standard Axis squads have some variations, including more fieldcaps.
Now, do anyone know if, and where, to get hold of eg. spare heads with varying headgear?

Dust Studios does not sell the heads. I tried to get some from them.
From previous posts here, it looks like Incursion/SOTR have heads that work well, but I have not seen them. I think there are pics posted.
I have heads for the spotter/sniper and observers that I have replaced with Recon Grenadier heads that I would gladly trade for Recon Grenadier heads (all in all I have 3 heads from the Heavy Flak Grenadiers and one for Lara from teh Revised set and 2 from the Beobachter and 2 from the Sniper Grenadiers).
I also have four heads from the Command Squad that I would prefer to replace with Recon Grenadier heads.

I am trying for a mostly gas mask wearing force (otehr then Sigrid, Manfred, the Command Squad Officer and my apes and zombies).
I replaced my sniper team heads with gas mask heads too. I like how they turned out. I am creating an all sturmpioneer platoon.
I do like the heads with the hats, if you want to trade me them for some recon heads. Let me know!

So you have heads with HATS you wish to trade for heads with GAS MASKS? If so, private message me.
I've got a pack of the SOTR heads and while they look good on a dust figure, my set came with some nasty mold lines that are a pain to get rid of so I just put them to the side for later projects.
Another source of heads is the plastic wargames factory sci-fi shock troops. They have german style helments, one with a sci-fi, kind of bug eyed mask and another with an armored face shield. I have some of those too and you have to trim down the plastic neck to get them to fit on a Dust figure. Otherwise they are pretty cool. There is a seller on ebay who sells the head bits by themselves. I can't find the link right now but I'll take a look later.
FFG & DS should just sell the Bot Hunters & Tank Killers as seprerate non premium versions. While including the extra mini was probably well meant. It just seems a source of frustration with regards to the different models in the premium versions. Alterantively they should sell the alternative minis. This should go for all expansions in the future as well.
I bought packs of british heads from SOTR at a convention this weekend. I am converting an army over to them, and will post pics. So far, the beret heads look good on the Armor 3 troops.
I am switching an entire Allied force over to the British Para heads from SOTR. So far they look good, I just need to prime and paint. I will post pics when I an done.

I'm currently wondering if the APE troopers from the Incursion sets would fit as replacements for the Grim Reapers/allied armored infantry (I positively hate the anime-esque look of them), and while searching the WWP site for stuff, I found the head packs. Both the US and Axis gas mask packs seem to be excellent add-on for the DT models.
The SOTR British Para Beret and gas mask heads look cool on all of the Armor 3 Allied troops. I am a little on the fence about the Armor 2 look, but once they are painted they might be ok.

Will get the APE troopers and some extra SotTR heads for sure, they are awesome! Just the right dieselpunk look for the Allies - Axis armored troopers look fine even in a more refined, advanced looking suit.
