Object vs Magic Object

By galladril2, in Talisman

The Sorceress, on many occasions, has been hailed as a very powerful character, because of her ability to Beguile.

As stated on her sheet: "You may attempt to beguile a character that you land on, allowing you to take one gold or Object of your choice."

The Spell, Acquisiton, reads: "take one Object of your choice, or one gold from any character."

Now, I have seen, many times, players getting within one space of the Valley of Fire, who get forced to turn around, because an acquisition was used to take their Talisman.

But a Talisman is listed as a Magic Object.

My question: is there a difference between a Magic Object, and an Object, or are they treated the same?

I ask because if they are NOT the same, my group and I have been doing things wrong for a long time.

Thanks, in advance.

P. 12, Objects and Magic Objects are both classed as Objects. Only times I can think it makes a difference is Destroy Magic works on Talisman (thus can prevent entry to Valley of Fire) and Merchant selling his Objects for different prices depending on Object/Magic Object.

All Magic Objects are Objects. Any Objects without the "Magic" tag are mundane, or ordinary Objects.

Also,IIRC, the Transmute spell might distinguish between the two.
