Nightmare / Jester

If a character is affected by the Jester, and then encounter's the Nightmare, what is the Nightmare's craft?

Ex: A character with 5 craft has the Jester as a follower. They also hold Solomon's Crown, for a total craft of 7. They roll a 4 for their attack, and then take away 1 due to the Jester, giving them a total of 10.

A) The Nightmare would copy the exsting craft (5), add 2 because of the crown, (7), and then NOT take away 1 because they are unaffected by the Jester?

B) All bonuses (and detriments) play into the Nightmare, making it an even up roll?

To my knowledge, Nightmare copies Craft value and modifiers, but not roll modifiers (even if they are related to Craft). So the jester would only affect the character.

Yep, that would be my impression as well, with Jester, you're rolling with -1 against Nightmare's +/-0.

Which is what I figured as well, because the Jester is adversely affecting your character, not the Nightmare, and as the Nightmare specifically states BONUSES, but not detriments, it seems that the Nightmare would have a (slight) advantage over the character.

Thanks.

What about if you meet a Nightmare+ a craft enemy of 2() and you have the Jester.

Enemy rolls 4 ( gain a +2 from craft enemy

+ character get a -1 from jester partido_risa.gif unbeatable
